Runes of the Deep
Use WASD keys to move. Q to quit. I to toggle the inventory display in case it gets in your way. Click on items and then click the appropriate button to use them or equip armor/weapons. Weapons and armor can, rarely, break, so you might want to keep a backup.
The goal is to progress down through all the levels of the dungeon. Note that in some cases the stairs down to the next level won't appear due to a logic glitch... in this case you have to restart the game. Sorry :/
This is a basic dungeon crawler inspired by the random dungeon generation of "2D6 Dungeon". I only spent around one day during the seven-day roguelike challenge (7DRL) to slap this together, so it's just a start. There is a lot of work to do in game balance, and finishing a spell-creation system using reagents. Finally... there are no "runes" yet, which is sad given the title. Basically all the magic stuff needs to come in a later update, but I'm wrapping it up for now.
I was also experimenting to see the limits of AI tools; most of the code was written by Sonnet 3.7 via Cursor, but I had to do a lot of hand-editing to fix bugs. Overall it was less helpful than I expected; I had to rewrite a lot of the core logic, especially with the geometry of room generation, which it was really bad at.
